Volunteers are the backbone of any non-profit organization and we are no different. There is so much that we want to do and accomplish and we wouldn’t even make a dent in that list if it wasn’t for our members who share our mission and our passion. Introducing different skill sets into the organization allow us to keep things current, to put on the workshops and Meet & Greets. These programs are essential to our Reinventing Yourself project, providing that roadmap to independence. Volunteers who are peer mentors, sharing their stories and experiences to guide a newly injured/diagnosed individual through the maze call rehabilitation. Whether it be school, work, public transportation, accessible housing, our volunteer group just make the journey a little less stressful and we include their family and friends. This journey is easier when not traveled alone.
